Mar Roxas grabbing Taiwan issue for second presscon

Mar Roxas take his rehash Taiwan trip to its second MalacaƱang presscon today. His interviews reveals nothing new about any changes in the foreign diplomatic relation of Philippines and Taiwan. The situation of 14 Taiwanese drug dealers deported by the government to China stands and the Taiwan protest still remains.

Manila Economic and Cultural Office Chairman Amadeo Perez Jr., criticized Dr. James Dy , owner of Chinese General Hospital and President of the Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, describing Dr. James Dy as a private individual meddling with the state affair and for his unwelcome credit  snatching.

Dr. James Dy
More about Dr. Dy>>>
Dy who was reportedly used his strong connections with businessmen from Taiwan and asked that the suspension be lifted.  And In no time at all, the Taiwanese government lifted the job suspension and eased the tension between the two countries.

President Noynoy Aquino sent his trusted buddy, former Senator Mar Roxas to Taiwan one more time to "fix the loose ends" in the relationship of the Philippines and Taiwan. But what people don't know is that, weeks prior to this trip, a Filipino-Chinese Philanthropist already made a momentous trip to Taiwan to save the jobs of some 90,000 Overseas Filipino Workers there and he is none other than Dr. James G. Dy.

Now, what is intriguing to know is what else did Mar Roxas do in Taiwan, when the issue has already been repaired.

Roxas backed from his second Taiwan visit

What Mar Roxas did constitutes in the minds of the people an early politicking for his presidential ambition in 2016. He claimed that his position as a  presidential "troubleshooter" for PNoy he is the one shouldering all the expenses incurred during his Taiwan official trip.

Northern Japan destroyed by superquake

A massive 8.9/9.0 magnitude earthquake hit the Pacific Ocean nearby Northeastern Japan at around 2:46pm on March 11 (JST) causing damage with blackouts, fire and tsunami. On this page we are providing the information regarding the disaster and damage with realtime updates.

The large earthquake triggered a tsunami warning for countries all around the Pacific ocean. This earthquake was the biggest to hit Japan since record-keeping began in the late 1800s.  It ranked as the fifth-largest earthquake in the world since 1900 and was nearly 8,000 times stronger than one that devastated Christchurch, New Zealand, last month.

The scenes of the town of Ofunato showed homes and warehouses in ruins. Sludge and high water spread over acres of land, with people seeking refuge on roofs of partially submerged buildings.

The quake shook dozens of cities and villages along a 1,300-mile (2,100-kilometer) stretch of coast and tall buildings swayed in Tokyo, hundreds of miles from the epicenter.

Tsunami swept away ships, yachts, houses, trucks and cars inland all over Northern Japan. The entire Pacific had been put on alert — including coastal areas of South America, Canada and Alaska — but waves were not as bad as expected.

The quake was followed for hours by aftershocks. The U.S. Geological Survey said 124 were detected off Japan's main island of Honshu, 111 of them of magnitude 5.0 or greater. Fire burned well past dark in a large section of Kesennuma, a city of 70,000 people in Miyagi.

Waves of muddy waters flowed over farms near Sendai, carrying buildings, some of them ablaze. Drivers attempted to flee. The tarmac at Sendai's airport was inundated with thick, muddy debris that included cars, trucks, buses and even light planes.

Officials declared the first-ever state of emergency at a Japanese nuclear power plant and ordered evacuations after the earthquake knocked out power to a cooling system at the Fukushima Daiichi facility near the city of Onahama, about 170 miles (270 kilometers) northeast of Tokyo. They said radiation levels inside the facility had surged to 1,000 times more than normal.

Japan nuclear plant operator reported radiation had exceeded the legal limit. Emergency measures put in place after the first nuclear reactor explosion last Saturday March 12, 2010. Meltdown occurs when plants system collapses and prevents proper cooling of the reactor. 180k people within the 20 kilometer radius were evacuated.

Gov. Vilma Santos trusted liaison officer ambushed

Sen. Ralph Recto and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-
Recto political campaign ads in last May, 2010
national and local election
Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos’ executive assistant ambush-killing may have something to do with the upcoming 2013 local election where her active opponents were Batangas former political warlords, the Sanchezes.

Gov. Vilma Santos was married to Senator Ralph Recto, an avid Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo political ally and prominent member of the violent out-of-school oriented youth organization Triskellion-Tau Gamma Phi (TGP).

The 62-year-old Santos’ executive assistance Cesar Guce, was ambushed and killed by 3 motorcycle-riding gunmen together with his driver, 34-year-old Randy Reyes, was also killed in the incident that took place in Batangas on Saturday morning. Both victims were residents of Barangay Pinagtung-ulan, San Jose, Batangas. Another companion, a 17-year-old boy, escaped unscathed.

According to a report, the victims were onboard a Toyota Land Cruiser (XDV-736) heading toward Cuenca town from Lipa City when they were waylaid by 3 motorcycle-riding armed men along JP Laurel Highway, Barangay Banay-Banay around 6:30 a.m.

Witnesses said the vehicle lost control and subsequently rammed into a watermelon stall along the highway after the suspects fired at them.

The motive according to some Batangas provincial capitol insiders might have something to do with illegal gambling or jueteng payola as Guce was also the liaison officer Gov. Santos at Batangas capitol and Senior Superintendent Alberto Supapo, Batangas police director on police matters.

The Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamihiriya Under US Siege

The Great Socialist Libyan Arab Jamihiriya revolutionary leader Muammar Qadaffi will not bow down to US sponsored small groups of street demonstrator/peaceful democratic protester turned into violent packets of armed rebel fighters inspired by US communication giants facebook and twitter.

Qaddafi welcomed the all out support of his socialist ally from Venezuelan Pres. Hugo Chavez, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Cuban First Council President Fidel Castro, North Korean Pres. Kim Jong-il and Chinese President Hu Jintao and many other from Asia and Latin American countries.

Agitating the Libyan people is led by the pan-Arab United Arab Emirates Dubai bases Qatari owned news outfit Al Jazeera network, the local news conduit of US-CNN & Fox News, Israeli News and British-BBC news network.

Many believed that chaos in the Middle East and North Africa is the declaration of US 21st century 1st World CyberWar (1st CWC). Tunisian and Egyptian facebook and twitter revolution reformers on were just decoy but the real target is Libyan Muammar Qadaffi.

Libyan security forces reports that 111 members of their force were killed while 189 killed on the side of the armed protesters.

Al Jazeera news film and ally networks together with the US White House and UN South Korean Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, EU Sec. Gen. Javier Solana and Arab League Sec. Gen. Amr Moussa were all singing to the tune of the US government that the protester were un-armed and peaceful.

Al Jazeera sensational reporting caught world attention that Qadaffi had already left the country and fled to either Venezuela or Brazil together with her daughter. That the Libyan armed forces were using air and tank attacks against the demonstrators. US threatened Qaddafi of crimes against humanity and insisting on televised press conference that the Libyan protest was peaceful.

Al Jazeera is producing mixed videos from Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Yemen and played it intentionally as Libyan situationer.

Qadaffi and daughter appeared on state television berating Al Jazeera for its sensational reports and insist that he will stay and fight to last minute defending Libyan socialist rule of law and Constitution.

Qaddafi and his loyal ally is determined to stop oil export to all western countries to counter their political intervention and incitement of civil war in their country.

DepEd additional 2 years basic education

Many people are not in favor of Pres. Noynoy Aquino and DepEd sec. Armin Luistro’s P43-billion Grand Theft  of Philippine Basic Educational System. The government should study first the Philippines current condition of  educational system.

Shortages in teachers, classrooms, school books and toilets, low wages, cumbersome and torturous teaching methods and skills being utilized. There are over 5 million poor families who were unable to sustain their children’s elementary and high school studies due to soaring cost of living (eg. food and transportation).

Poor children in the provinces are walking 2 hours each day to reach their schools that is very far from their barrios. There are times these children would take their classes under the scorching heat of the sun or under the tree for lack of classroom to their class.

The administration of PNoy must address first the above-mentioned problem of shortages, the support system and school facilities before exploring his government costly, unrealistic and impractical education program,

Omb. Merceditas Gutierrez Gone Down

YOU’RE OUT MERCY

The time of reckoning has come for Mrs. Mercy Gutierrez of the Office of the Ombudsman. She will gone down in Philippine history as the first top government official to be legally removed through impeachment process. Former Pres. Joseph "Erap" Estrada was impeached but removed by a grand conspiracy led by Gloria Arroyo and the then Supreme Court chief justice Hilario Davide.

In the recently nationwide simulcast Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing, Mrs. Mercy Guttierez openly disapproved the findings of her predecessor, former Ombudsman Simeon Marcelo’s, too weak for lack of evidences of plunder against former AFP Comptroller Gen. Carlos Garcia.

She castigated former Special Prosecutor Dennis Villaignacio for his tardiness when the latter tries to defend Marcelo. She claimed that the Office of the Ombudsman is the sole representative of the people in cases under jurisdiction of Sandiganbayan. That she has the exclusive right and controls what she deems what is best, better and good for the people and country.

Mrs. Gutierrez took the committee’s precious time and turned the hearing into her self-styled privilege speech. She repeatedly brags her position as Ombudsman being a constitutionally an independent body is free from any governmental restrictions.

ONLY WAY OUT

Mercy Gutierrez will be burned out just like what she and her classmate of earlier period Jose Miguel T. Arroyo did both to former Ombudsman Simeon Marcelo and former Special Prosecutor Dennis Villaignacio.
As an Ombudsman, Gutierrez is "pathologically arrogant" and does not have the public trust and basic honesty expected of a public official.
For her hopelessly incompetent seven day work-week since she became Ombudsman, she will suffer from depression and will be physically and mentally exhausted. She will also have severe ulcers and hypertension.

It’s hard to see the pain behind the mask. Bearing the burden of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s secrets is very complicated job. Like what happened to former AFP chief Angelo T. Reyes, there will come a time she wishes she was never born. The bishops and nuns will pray that she opt instead file her irrevocable resignation effective immediately.

Angelo Reyes was under investigation for his crucial participation in the P300-million UN fund malversation with AFP Comptroller Carlos Garcia. He was grilled by mutinous Magdalo member Senator Antonio Trillanes who told him at the senate hearing that he no longer have the name to protect.

Sentiments among Reyes' family, associates and friends from the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) told reporters that the brusque senate examination done by Sen. Trillanes may have affected the already depressed Reyes to commit suicide.

Sen. Manny Villar Filed Electronic Bill to Curtail Freedom of Information Bill

    Philippines, February 14, 2011, 5:00 PM

Senator Manny Villa has filed a bill in the Senate pushing to penalize those who try to defame others through the use of electronic media, such as Facebook and Twitter.

He filed Senate Bill 2668, that moves to amend Article 335 of the Revised Penal Code by including libel committed through “electronic media such as but not limited to the Internet.” He said laws are silent on libel through electronic media.

The senate and house committee on justice hearing on the corruption of AFP’s UN P300-million fund mess that triggered former AFP chief Angelo T. Reyes to commit suicide by gunshot wound on his left breast might have something to do with Sen. Villar’s move to have the electronic bill filed.

Senator Panfilo Lacson and other senators believed that Villar’s is guilty of involvement in the P200-million budget insertion on which the entries “President Carlos Garcia Avenue Extension” and “C-5 Road Extension”  refers to the same road according to Lacson.

Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile confirmed that Villar had asked him to insert P200 million for the C-5 project, the request he said according to Villar was only meant to ensure the speedy completion of the project.

Villar’s explanatory note reads: “The tremendous potential of the Internet has proved to be unimaginable for the Philippines. It has bridged information gaps and has opened infinite possibilities to people located even in the remotest areas in the country.”

He wants the immediate criminalization of e-libel and harsher penalty for fear of his impending re-investigation in the senate once Sen. Lacson appears. Under the leadership of former Chief Justice Reynato Puno, the Supreme Court, earlier directed courts to instead impose a monetary fine on the guilty rather than the often imposed imprisonment.

Senator Villar stressed this has introduced the so-called electronic libel or e-libel. Article 335 of the Revised Penal Code provides that anyone found guilty of libel could face imprisonment of up to 6 years.
