Magdalo Soldiers Acquitted By Philippine Court

Magdalo soldiers led by Gen. Danny Lim, Col. Ariel Querubin and Navy Capt. and Senator Antonio Trillanes were all acquitted by the Philippine Court.

They were detained for more than five (5) years by the Arroyo regime for their participation in the Oakwood mutiny, a protest by junior military officer against then AFP chief Angelo T. Reyes anomalies in the multi-million peso UN assistance fund and AFP modernization fund.

Upon election last May 10, 2010 of the new administration of Benigno Simeon C. Aquino, who is known sympathizer of Magdalo's grievances against the massive corruption of the Arroyo regime , proposed an unconditional amnesty to all Magdalo soldiers.

Magdalo soldiers are mulling of filing corruption case against former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who is now the representative of the 2nd Congressional District of Pampanga.
